Online Blackjack Casino Games

re you getting ready to take that journey into the card world of Blackjack? Blackjack is one of the more popular card games amongst casinos as well as online card games. Unlike poker, where you are playing against your opponents, in Blackjack you are trying to beat the dealer while helping the rest of the players out as well. The basic rules for Blackjack are to of course try and get 21 or as close to it without going over.

To start, the dealer will deal everyone two card face up, except for his or her cards. The dealer will leave the first card face up and the second one faced down. This is a basic rule whether you are playing Blackjack online, or at a casino. You want to assume that the card faced down for the dealer is always a 10. Based on what the card he has showing, you can then determine how you will go about your hand from there.

The dealer also has a couple rules that only they need to adhere to. The dealer must always take another card if the value of his or her hand is 16 or lower. They must also stay on any hand that is 17 and higher. As for the players, the rules for whether you should stay with what you have, or take a hit depend on what the dealer is showing. These rules are more of a guideline and therefore do not have to be followed like the dealer must do.

The objective of course is to beat the dealer either with the value of your hand, or by making him bust by going over 21. If the dealers card is a 6 or lower, you are more likely to stick with the hand that you have. This is said because the dealer is more likely to have a hand that i2 16 or lower and will have to hit until he gets at least 17. The objective is that the card that the dealer has to take will make him bust causing the whole table to win. If the card that the dealer has is 7 or higher, you of course will want to take more cards until you think you have beaten his hand. One particular hand you will always want to take a hit on is what is referred to as a “soft 16″. this is when you are dealt an Ace and a 5. Since the Ace can be played as either an 11 or 1 , you will not bust by taking an additional card.

There are a few instances where some other rules come into play. If you are dealt 2 of the same card, you are given the option to split your hand and therefore be playing 2 hands against the dealer. If you are deal a low card amount, for example 11 or 10, you can also choose to do a double down. You would therefore double your bet, but you are only allowed to receive one more card. If the card the dealer has showing is an Ace, they must also offer you the option of taking insurance in case they have Blackjack. The insurance makes it so that you would only loose half your winnings if the dealer does in fact have Blackjack.
